Part 1:-Gough Family in Pershore, England.
My parents were born here in England, which is why we consider it to be home. Barbara was born in Grahamstown (known as settler town) in South Africa. As mentioned above she is from the Tarr family, who descend from the 1820 settlers to South Africa. We will be always very keen to learn more about England and our ancestry. We have two daughters, Deborah and Jennifer, and they have both come across to England as well and have also come to live here in Pershore. Deborah has two sons, Gareth and Brandon. I also have a daughter, Michelle, who is married and has 2 sons and still lives over in South Africa with her husband Marius Nel in a famous town on the Cape wine route called Paarl which is just outside Cape Town.

To the left above is the view from Tableview beach of Table Mountain in Cape Town. Tableview is a small town on the west coast about 20km. from Cape Town. By day it is a popular spot for riding, walking or jogging on the beach and fishing. At night it is very well known as a place for a good night out, having many pubs and restaurants, many of which have live music, some of which are open throughout the night. This was the village where we lived for many years. Anybody out there from the same region?. Please do Contact me. |
The next picture above is the Waterfront in Cape Town which is part of the harbour which has been re-developed into a very vibrant area with many clubs, pubs and resturants, as well as a large shopping centre and hotels. There are also cinemas and an aquarium. The picture on the right of that one is a lovely arial picture of the Cape Peninsula and the last one is of Cape Point which is over on the other side of the peninsula from the City of Cape Town, and is the point where the two oceans (Atlantic and Indian) meet. now

My name is Brian Gough and if I had my way I would refer to myself as the big chief and head of the family but to keep the peace I have to say that my wife Barbara (that's her below), has that honour. I am a jazz guitarist and website publisher and also a horse racing form analyst. As a webmaster I am kept very busy with the upkeep of my five websites and also with my music. I am a rather keen amateur artist as well and enjoy sketching, pastel and watercolour painting. |

Barbara (22nd July-55) looks after our grandchildren Gareth, Brandon and Ben, for our daughter Deborah. We have been married now for 33 years and believe me any woman who can stay married to a musician for that length of time deserves a medal. Barbara is also involved with swimming coaching at the junior school. We share much the same interests including Football, Barbara being a keen follower of the Premiership here in England. She is also very keen on the one day cricket game. |

This is our eldest daughter Deborah (4th August-31) and below her are her three sons. Deborah works in reception at an engineering company here in Pershore. Her partner is Scott Ryland who works for the same company as Deborah does. They have been together for quite a while now. |

Gareth is now 12 years old (28th July), and is now in high school here in Pershore. He is football crazy like most of the boys over here. He has been playing football for about 7 seasons already! He is a staunch Manchester United supporter, as is his mother Deborah. His other big love is playing pool and of course computer games. However he is doing well with his school work also, so that's fine! |

Brandon is 6years old (22nd of November). He is now in year two this year. He is flourishing and developing as a character now that he is mixing with other children. He is making new friends and enjoying himself. He is computer game mad at the moment and loves watching DVD's as well. He seems to have rather a good eye when he is playing with a ball, so I would imagine it will not be long before he starts getting more interested in sport. |

This is Ben who turned one year old on the 5th October. He weighed 7Lb 10oz (3.22kg) at birth. He is a beautiful and a good little boy. |

This is our youngest daughter Jennifer (20th December-30) who has been over here in England for over four years now and her and her partner, Steve Haskins, live in Evesham which is a small town about 6 miles from Pershore. Jennifer stays at home to look after their daughter, Caitlin. Steve works for a brick manufacturing company a few miles from Evesham. |

This is Caitlin who was born on the 24th February to Jennifer and Steve. She weighed 7Lb 14oz (3.25kg) at birth. She is a beautiful and a contented little girl with a mop of dark hair and looks just like her dad. |
The family in Cape Town.... These
pictures are of our family that lives over in South Africa in a well known town on the wine route called Paarl which is about 20 miles outside Cape Town.

Marius is 35 years old and is a senior technician working in Paarl and is mad about football (supports Liverpool). His other big passion in life is fishing, and I am pleased to say that he has been chosen to represent the provincial team at angling. We are very happy for him! Michelle
(I am not supposed to tell you her age which is 33), is my daughter. Michelle works in the office of a panelbeaters company in Paarl. The rest of the time she keeps the family running smoothly. Damon
was 10 years old on 24th September, is at school in Paarl in Grade 4 and doing well. This year he wants to start playing rugby. He is mad about playing pool, I'm told, and is very good. Also of course computer games! Duncan
turned 3 years old (9th April). How time flies. He keeps himself busy just playing and being happy! He has a stubburn streak in him I'm told. (he must get that from his mother!)
